Tucson, Grand Canyon, Las Vegas

Roadtrip - die Zweite...

Eben noch mit 20 km/h auf dem Rad, jetzt mit 1000 km/h im Flugzeug Richtung Tucson. Ich schmeiß0e dabei nicht nur meine CO2 Bilanz über Bord, sondern freu mich auch auf das Wiedersehen mit Eva und Lupita, die ich aus meiner Zeit in Spanien kenne. Zudem steht ein zweiter Roadtrip mit Mary Anne an und davon gibt es viel zu berichten. Auch hier werde ich versuchen mich kurz zu fassen, um euch nicht weiter mit meinem Geplapper von den grandiosen Bildern abzulenken (grandios soll hier keineswegs eine selbstverliebte Einschätzung meiner Fotos sein, sondern steht eher für das, was in den Fotos drin ist :) ).

Was habe ich also gemacht?

• In Tucson ein paar wunderschöne Tage bei 30 Grad im Schatten mit Lupita, Eva und Nara verbracht. Die Mädels haben sich sichtlich drum bemüht, meine Leber nach all den Wochen ohne viel Alkohol auszutesten. Vielen Dank für die kurze aber schöne Zeit! :) 
• Den Wildcats beim Homecoming zugeschaut. Ein kleines Universitätsspielchen vor 56.000 Zuschauern eben mit mindestens nochmal so vielen vorher beim Tailgaten (Foto 1 - 3).
• Meine kleine Reisegitarre gekauft und ausgetestet
• Mit Mary Anne einen Roadtrip zum Grand Canyon unternommen. Ich weiß gar nicht, was ich hier schreiben soll, da mir die Worte fehlen um das Gesehene zu beschreiben (Fotos 8 - 15). Genießt die Aufnahmen!
• Auf dem Rückweg nach San Diego einen Zwischenstopp in Las Vegas eingelegt. Schon irre, diese bunte, baute und verrückte Stadt mitten in der Wüste zu sehen. Und: ja, ich habe ganze 1,88 US$ verzockt. Die Jubelpose war nur temporärer Art :)
• In San Diego die letzten Tage in den USA mit Jen, Pat, Claire und Mary Anne verbracht. Größtenteils mit Vorbereitungen für den Mexiko Trip, aber auch mit Ausflügen zum Pier und einer tollen Skyline. 

Roadtrip - Vol. 2

After riding with 20 km/h on my Bike the last days I am heading towards Tucson with about 1000 km/h on a plane. I'm not only ruining my CO2 balance but also looking forward to meet up with Lupita and Eva, that I know from my time in Spain. I'll also do another road trip with Mary Anne and there is much to tell you. But again: I try to focus on the most important things in order to not distract you from the great pictures (and with "great" I'm refering to the things in the pictures, not my ability to take them :D ).

So, what did I do?

• I spent a couple of days in Tucson with Eva, Lupita and Nara and enjoyed the 30 degree celcius over there. The girls really tried hard to give my liver no rest after all this time on the bike without much alcohol and we had a lot of fun. Thanks for the short but very very nice time with you! ;) 
• I went to a real tailgate party with real americans on a real homecoming weekend and cheered for the Wildcats! You know, one of these small little university games with 56.000 people in the stadium and at least twice as much outside at the tailgate party (pictures 1-3).
• I bought and played my new little guitalele.
• I went to see the Grand Canyon with Mary Anne. I dont really know, what to tell you here. I just dont have the words for what I saw there. Just have a look at the pictures (photos 8 - 15)!
• On the way back to San Diego, we stopped in Las Vegas. What a crazy and loud city in the middle of the desert. And Yes, I lost money gambling... but just 1,88 US$ :)
• I spent the last days in the US in San Diego with Jen, Pat, Claire and Mary Anne. Thanks for your nice hospitality and the Nutella jar as a farewell present!
