Es passiert nun also wirklich: ich fliege nach Kanada! Nicht aber, um dort zu verweilen, sondern um mir möglichst schnell einen zweirädrigen Untersatz samt Ausrüstung zu kaufen und gen Süden zu fahren. Immer entlang der Westküste des nordamerikanischen Kontinents bis nach... ja, wo genau soll die Reise eigentlich hingehen? So genau weiß ich das noch nicht - und das ist auch gut so. Jedenfalls wird es ein großes Abenteuer! Viele Trinkflaschen werden geleert, viele Fotos geschossen und viele Platten geflickt werden. Doch so ganz genau weiß man ja nie, was kommt. Deshalb wünsch ich Euch einfach ganz viel Spaß beim durchstöbern dieses Blogs. Ich werde versuchen, euch immer auf dem Laufenden zu halten und viele Eindrücke mit Euch zu teilen.
Die endgültige Route wird wohl so ca. 6000 km betragen. Aber auch hier weiß ich spätestens seit meiner Radtour 2009 von Leipzig nach Madrid, dass man sich nicht unbedingt auf GoogleMaps verlassen sollte. :)

It's really happening! I'm flying to Canada! But not to stay there and hang out, but to get my stuff together and to buy a brand new bike to head south afterwards. All along the westcoast until.... well: good question! I don't know so far - and that's actually a good thing. Anyway it's gonna be legen - wait for it - dary! ;) Many bottles of water will be refilled, many punctures will be repaired and many many pictures will be taken. And you never know what comes next. So I can only wish me an incredible time and you guys lots of fun reading this blog and following me virtually on my big tour! I'll try to keep you updated as far as I get Internet during my ride.
The final route will be arround 3800 mls. But again: if I learned something during my first big bike-adventure back in 2009 from Leipzig to Madrid: never trust GoogleMaps-Distances if your travelling by bike! :D
