From Vancouver to La Paz by bike.

Meine Route führt mich vor allem entlang der Amerikanischen Westküste von Vancouver B.C. an den südlichsten Zipfel der Mexikanischen Halbinsel Baja California. Von der Hauptstadt Brittisch Kolumbiens geht es über Seattle und Astoria nach Oregon. Durch die Redwood Forests führt der Weg dann weiter durch Arcata, Eureka bis nach Kalifornien. Dort steht mit San Francisco ein weiteres Highlight auf dem Programm. 

Nach einem Roadtrip in den Yosemite National Park geht es weiter Richtung Santa Barbara, Los Angeles und San Diego. Von dort lege ich einen zweiten Roadtrip nach Tucson, den Grand Canyon und Las Vegas ein. 

Und dann geht das Abenteuer erst so richtig los. Über den Grenzübergang in Tijuana führt mich die Route weiter nach und durch Mexiko. Entlang der Baja California fahre ich auf dem Highway1 durch mehrere spektekuläre Wüstenabschnitte sowie entlang unberührter Strände nach La Paz, wo zumindest die Radtour ein Ende findet. 

Insgesamt beträgt die Route ca. 4500 km und führt durch 3 Länder und 6 Bundesstaaten. 

Heading South

My route leads me along the American West Coast starting in Vancouver B.C. heading South towards the end of the Mexican Peninsula Baja California. From the Start in Vancouver, the road leads me through Seattle towards Astoria and thus to Oregon State. Through the Redwood Forests, the way follows the coastline passing Arcata, Eureka and finally the border to California. In the Golden State, I will do a first longer stop in San Francisco. From there, a roadtrip to the Yosemite National Park will give time to relax.

After doing this, I'll be back on the Highway 1 passing Santa Barabara, Los Angeles and finally San Diego. Another road trip will get me to Tucson, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. And then the real adventure starts...

Crossing the border in Tijuana, I will stick mostly to the only ridable road in the Baja Peninsula: Highway 1. The way leads me through some beautiful vast deserts and along virgin beaches towards La Paz. There, the bike trip at least will fing it's end. 

Overall the route will cover 3 countries, 6 states and more than 4.500 km (2.800 miles).
